My park was chosen because it's one of the largest most intact ecosystems in the US it. Over 10,00 years ago the Blackfoot Indians lived here and gave the name to the park! Here's just a few pictures of the park The weather for the winter in this park will be cold rainy and snowy. They park may close certain activitys or trail due to weather. I'm sure glad I didn't go during the winter! Here a few pictures! In my national park there are many glaciers here are a few pictures that I took. The glaciers are currently melting and causing water levels to rise. They are a contributing factor of globel warming also. I saw these glaciers earlier today! Here are some satellite images for glacier national park. When we got back from the hike out tour guide told us to look at some because they said we'd be surprised but what we saw. I was defiantly suprised! Glacier Narional park looks way different! Here's a picture of when a storm was covering all of glacier! We saw the beautiful gray wolf this week! I did some research at the hotel and found out that the gray wolf is a tertiary consumer. They are at the top of the food web. He/she will eat moose, hares, beavers etc. here are some pictures I found! While we were at the park we did all sorts of fun things. The first thing we did was the going to the sun road trip! Later that day we went on a hike to a beautiful mountain! Here's a picture! Here are some things you can do!! I did some research on the computer at the hotel.. And these topographic maps came up! Topographic maps show elevation and depth of a certain area. The solid lines are showing elevation the dotted or lines with dashes show depth. The closer the lines the steeper it is on the side the father the lines the more constant elevation. Hope you enjoy these pictures! The weather wasn't so pleasant this week! It was rainy and cloudy! But we didn't let this out a damper on our plans for the week (:! Here's a picture I took.. As you can see its cold and rainy.. Goodnight guys I'll keep you posted about my adventure tomorrow! My family was so excited that we got to go to this national park. I picked Glacier national park. And I'm here making a blog about our trip. I hope you enjoy! Here's a few pictures of my park (: |
